A New phase of Women's Soccer

A new phase of the Women's National Soccer Team has begun. Stars Megan Rapinoe and Julie Ertz have retired, and it’s time for some new faces. A new up and coming star is Jaedyn Shaw, who scored the winning goal in a friendly (a game that doesn't count towards their season record) against China Republic! She also scored in her debut game! There have been a lot of new players making their debut! Another person making their debut is the head coach, Emma Hayes. She is a women's soccer coach from England and is going to take over the job from the acting head coach, Twila Kilgore. 3rd grader Olivia Siri said, “I am excited for the new coach!” Emma Hayes is going to finish the 2023-2024 English Super League season before coming to coach the USWNT (USA Women's National Soccer Team). She is going to make it back just before the start of the 2024 Paris Olympics. 7th Grader Isaiah McKim said he is looking forward to the Olympics!
