Bingo Night!

By: Liam Leary

On January 19th, it was Bingo Night! Students and parents from the CFI 84 family all gathered to play some good old bingo. Not only that, but there were actual prizes! We talked to the organizer of the event, Mrs. Horn, about what she thought about bingo night. Here is what she had to say.

Q: How much money has to be raised to send the 7th graders to D.C?

A: To clarify, The “real” bingo night was raised for the school, and concessions were raised for 7th grade. But for just D.C, we need about 1000$ per student.

Q: How do you find the prizes?

A: Most of the prizes were found on amazon, but I wanted some old-fashioned games or toys to fit with the theme of bingo, which I consider a classic game.

Q: How much money did it raise?

A: About 3000$.

Q: How many students came to the night?

A: About 200 people total.

Q: How many people are actually involved in making bingo night happen?

A: We have a committee of about 10 people.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to share?

A: Bingo night is a fun, family event that brings smiles on faces.

Although, bingo night can’t be mentioned without the competition. As I said earlier, bingo night included prizes, so we interviewed Everett. Everett won a slinky! We asked him about what he thought of the night, and he was so happy that he began spinning circles.
