Fall Starbucks Menu Review

Written by Berlynn Sommer and Piper Cleveland

Starbucks Coffee company was founded in 1971 and has grown to become one of the most popular coffee chains in the United States. During the fall season, they offer a multitude of fall-themed drinks and baked goods, the most popular being the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL). For this issue's restaurant review, we sampled 3 drinks and 1 baked good — the PSL, Caramel Apple Cider, Pumpkin Spice Creme Frappuccino (Frappe) and the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin.

Shockingly, our least favorite of the drinks was the PSL! We felt it did not taste like pumpkin and tasted more like coffee and fall spices. This could be a good drink for someone who enjoys coffee or strong fall flavors. In 3rd place we had the Carmel Apple Cider. It was a good take on the classic drink, but we felt it was a bit basic. In 2nd place we had the Pumpkin Cream Muffin. It was incredibly sweet and tasted similar to pumpkin bread.

Our top pick was the Pumpkin Spice Frappe. We liked it because it tasted a lot like pumpkin spice, without using coffee. If you like pumpkin and very sweet drinks, you will like this.

Next time you stop by a local Starbucks make sure to try one of the fall menu items!
