March Madness Review

This March Madness was crazy! To start off, the No. 1 seed Purdue lost to the 16 seed Fairleigh Dickinson University in the East. This is the second time in history a 16 seed beat a No. 1 seed. Also in the round of 64, two-seed Arizona lost to fifteen-seed Princeton in the South! Some of those upsets ruined people’s brackets.

The next round, the round of 32 was not much better than the first round. No. 1 Kansas lost to eight-seed Arkanasas in the West. The seventh seed, Michigan State, beat number two seed Marquette in the East. Only two No. 1 seeds were left.

In the Sweet 16, No. 1 seed Alabama lost to five-seed San Diego State. Now to the Elite Eight, where nine-seed Florida Atlantic is still alive and running! They beat 3-seed Kansas State by three points. Miami beat the two seed Texas by seven points even though they were a five seed.

Sadly, in the Final Four, Florida Atlantic lost to San Diego State by one point on a crazy buzzer beater. On the other side, Uconn beat Miami by 13 points! Now it's Uconn against San Diego State for the championship.

In the championship, Uconn took home the title when they won the game against San Diego State 76-59. Uconn dominated the tournament, beating all of the teams they faced by at least 10 points. This NCAA tournament was very entertaining with the underdogs coming out on top.
