Midterm Election Unscramble

Updated: Nov 17, 2022

On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, the U.S. midterm elections will take place. The midterm elections are when the Legislative Branch, also known as Congress, gets elected to office. This branch includes the House of Representatives and the Senate. This is the part of the government that comes up with laws. Right now, the Democrats control the house, and the Senate is currently split 50/50. However, the midterm will most likely change the numbers. Many Americans only vote during the Presidential election since it’s “the big one.” But without voting for Congress, we wouldn’t have a very balanced system, which is vital to democracy. People vote for their state representatives every two years and their senators every six years. Don’t forget about election day!
