Pasta, Pizza, and Cake, Oh My! Diavola Review

By: Berlynn Sommer and Ella Ringham

Located at 1134 E 54th St., Diavola offers a wide variety of Italian cuisine. From brick oven fired pizzas to house made ravioli, there's something for everyone. As soon as we walked in we were overwhelmed with the scent of fresh baked Italian goods, and couldn't wait to be seated so we could begin eating. After careful decision we decided to try one appetizer, two pastas, one pizza, and two desserts.1

Appetizer-

  • Cheesy Garlic Bread 7/10

  • Similar taste to cheese pizza

  • Includes small side of

  • (tomato) sauce

  • Ricotta cheese brings all of the flavors together

Pizza-

  • Margherita 8/10

  • Oven fired, with dough made in house

  • Thin crust

  • Fresh mozzarella is the star of the show

Pastas-

  • Chicken Penne 7.5/10

  • Sauce is a mixture of pesto and sun dried tomatoes

  • Not as rich as other menu items

  • Penne pasta cooked to perfection

  • Spaghetti & Meatballs 8/10

  • Meatballs are large and flavourful

  • Would be a great choice for someone who wants something simple

Desserts-

  • Crème Brûlée 10/10

  • Satisfying to crack the sugary top off

  • Custard base

  • Chocolate Cake 9/0

  • Rich chocolate flavor

  • Creamy, delicious frosting

Overall, we really enjoyed this restaurant! Did you? Make sure to let us know at 84post.org. We can't wait to stop by again!
