Spelling Bee Winner

Congratulations to all four of our school spelling bee champions! All of them advanced to the regional round. In MYP, Eli placed sixth and Ian placed seventh. In PYP, Sabrina placed second and Cavan placed fourth. Mrs. Shepler says, “There were probably over 40 students participating from lots of schools around IPS. The words had a varying level of difficulty, ranging from brick to coccidiosis.” All of our spellers have worked very hard and are studying a great amount. Sabrina says, “I try to study every day, a little at a time.” Overall, these stellar spellers did an amazing job! 

1. How much will you study before regionals?

I don’t know, it’s really time consuming, but I try to study every day, a little at a time. 

1. How excited were you about placing second in the district?

I was excited, yeah

1. Are you looking forward to regionals

Yeah.

It’s difficult, you have to concentrate, there’s a lot of people.
