By: Emelia Hicks

Queen Elizabeth II, also known as Elizabeth Windsor, was born on April 21, 1926. She was the queen of the United Kingdom. Her mother was named Elizabeth and her father was George VI. She had 4 children, even though most only hear about the now King Charles III. The queen was an honorary junior commander in World War 2, although she never served. Queen Elizabeth ruled for 70 years and 214 days, which makes her the longest reigning British monarch. She died on September 8, 2022, in Balmoral Castle. The entire world mourns the loss of a great leader.
